Yuliia Zalomaikina studied Architecture at the National University of Construction and Architecture in Kyiv and Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design at the University of Stuttgart. In Kyiv, she worked as an architect at the architectural firm ZOTOV&CO, with a focus on the transformation of post-industrial buildings and sites. She coordinated the international architecture festival CANactions in 2017. Alongside working and studying, she took part in planning and architecture workshops in Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Poland and Hungary.

Since the end of 2020, she has been a Project Manager at IBA’27 and is also responsible for organising the festivals.
