From 24 April to 30 October 2027, the International Building Exhibition IBA’27 will showcase the results of a ten-year search for the future of housing, living and working. Look forward to a summer full of discoveries, insights and inspiration – a launch pad into the future of the Stuttgart Region.

IBA’27 Central Hub, Stuttgart City Centre
In a central exhibition held in a former department store, the International Building Exhibition is showcasing its topics and projects.
Weissenhof.Forum and Brenzkirche
To mark its 100th anniversary, the famous Weissenhof Estate is to be given a visionary visitor centre. The neighbouring Brenzkirche is set to regain its modern character following its conversion.
University of Stuttgart, Vaihingen Campus
Spectacular research buildings carry Stuttgart’s tradition of lightweight construction into a sustainable future. The exhibition in a former guesthouse showcases the materials and architectural styles of the construction industry’s transformation.
Böckinger Straße und Am Rotweg Neighbourhoods
Living together requires diversity, a sense of community and adaptability. Two residential neighbourhoods in Stuttgart’s Rot district are leading the way.
Neckarspinnerei and Timber Car Park in Wendlingen
A factory is being transformed into a vibrant neighbourhood for living and working. A wooden multi-storey car park marks the transition to rational mobility.
Franck Areal, Ludwigsburg
The former factory is converted into a vibrant hub of urban life. Artisans’ workshops, co-working spaces, new residential developments, leisure and culture are shaping a new vision of productivity for the Stuttgart region.
