Heidi Pretterhofer
Heidi Pretterhofer studied architecture at Graz University of Technology. She lives and works in Vienna, where she runs the Pretterhofer Arquitectos office. Her work lies at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, theory and cultural production. Among other things, she was involved in Club Hybrid, a demonstration building in Graz.
She has taught and conducted research at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and the Graz University of Technology. She is a member of the Austrian Chamber of Architects, has been a member of the IBA’27 Board of Trustees since 2018, and has been a member of the Expert Committee for Art in Public Spaces in Lower Austria since 2019. Since 2023, she has held the Chair of Building Culture at the University of Art and Design Linz together with Michael Rieper. In 2024, Pretterhofer and Rieper were awarded the Hans Hollein Art Prize for Architecture.
