Hans Peter Künkele was born in 1963 in Radolfzell am Bodensee. He is a qualified draughtsman and studied Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Stuttgart. He gained his professional experience in architectural firms in Berlin and Stuttgart. Most recently, he worked for the municipal authorities in Fellbach on urban development projects that are on the interface between architecture and urban planning.

He has been a Project Manager at IBA’27 since February 2019.
