Ursula Hoffmann studied Architecture at Trier University of Applied Sciences. After working as an architect for two years, she started her career in communication – initially as a specialist editor for an architecture and construction publisher. She later completed further training to become a PR officer and worked freelance for a number of different companies. She was responsible for communications and marketing at a large Stuttgart-based surveyor’s firm for more than 13 years. She is also involved in the Germany-wide exhibition series »WERTE« (»Values«), which is dedicated to traditional crafts, restoration and monument preservation.

Since 2016, Ursula Hoffmann has been working as an editor in the Südwestrundfunk (SWR) press office and as a freelance journalist and author.

She has been volunteering for many years for the Bundesverband der Kommunikatoren e. V. (BdKom) and was a board member for the regional group in Baden-Württemberg for six years.

She has been part of the Communications team at IBA’27 since 2019.
